Spring Rally

Our chapter will be celebrating its 15th anniversary next year. Can you believe we're that old? The celebration will take place at our 2012 spring rally. And we will decide/vote on the location when we get together in Hutchinson. If anyone has suggestions for a site, please let us know. An officer of the Six-State Rally Association will be at our rally to congratulate us.

Fall Rally

Six-State Rally in Hutchinson, KS
Sept. 24-Oct. 1

Our club has volunteered to work at this rally and everyone will need to enter the fairgrounds on Sat. Sept. 24. Your packet does not state arrival time because volunteer jobs begin on different days. Thirteen spaces will be reserved for our club so it is not necessary to caravan in together. We plan to have a room for social activities before the regular rally begins and hope to have a pizza party on that first Saturday night.

The following family coaches have parking reservations:
Brigmann, Chiste, Dunn, Fricke, Gent, Goodlett, Hearn, Holmes, Koch, Liscio, Maher, Sholty, Sorenson
Easton's have also volunteered to help but they will be parked with the Frustrated Maestro's. Sharon Goodlett has recently joined our club and may serve as an alternate volunteer.

Everyone will work on Sunday but then all will be free on Monday except for women who are working registration so plan to do some touring that day. You might want to make reservations for the Salt Mine museum or Cosmosphere, as suggested in your packet. All the volunteers will be treated to a free meal on Monday evening.

Thelma Hebert will be doing training for women working registration at 2:00 pm Saturday and at 8:00 am on Sunday. Pat Holmes, Norma Sorenson, and Pat Maher have volunteered to come in early on Saturday to receive training that day so they will be ready to collect money from coaches arriving on Sunday for club rallies.

Thelma Hebert also suggested that the registration facility is not air-conditioned and you might want to bring a fan, if you have one. She is bringing one so a couple more should be enough. Hopefully the weather will be cooler by then!!!

There will be three clubs doing security and Bill Beebe is in charge. He asked us to work both gates on Sunday and then another club will do both gates on Monday. The four women doing Crafts (Dunn, Sholty, Chiste, and Liscio) do not have enough hours in crafts so they will assist with Security on Sunday when we guard both gates. The "craft ladies" will be assigned to a gate with their husbands. Thereafter, we will be in charge of the main gate #5 plus the exhibit building. Women may also need to help the men with security during the week. We have a large umbrella to use for Gate #5 and the others will be indoors at the exhibits.

We do not have a host for our pre-rally but with pizza on Sat. and the volunteer dinner on Monday, we can find restaurants for Sunday and Tuesday meals. Hopefully, no one will be working so much that they will be unable to find time to socialize in our camping area and assigned room. Everyone can make their own schedule for having fun in Hutchinson.
