Spring Rally

Check your Calendars!!!

As previously mentioned, we are trying to find a time for the 2011 Spring Rally that does not conflict with member's attendance at graduations, weddings, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, etc. We tried to move it to June but conflicts have already been noted.

Let's look again at the May 2011 calendar: Mother's Day is on May 8th and Memorial Day is the weekend of May 27-30. Does anyone have family conflicts during the intervening three weeks--between May 9th and May 27th? Call your kids and grandkids for dates of graduations & weddings.

Please check your calendars and send us the dates of your conflicts. We will try to arrange a rally around them. We want to schedule it so that everyone can attend who wants to attend!!

Check your calendar now and send us your conflicts or comments!!

Thanks!!

Frank Koch, President

Fall Rally

Sept. 24-27, 2010 -- NRV Caddo Lake Rally

So far, there are 10 coaches registered to attend our rally. They are: Maher, Koch, Sorenson, Sholty, Dunn, Fricke, Liscio, Campbell, Easton, and Holmes. If you would like to attend and are not on this list, go to the Texas State Parks reservation website: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/business/park_reservations/. You may also phone this number: 512/389-8900. They require one night's payment to hold the reservation, which may be cancelled up to 3 days prior to the date with just a $5 service charge. Water/electric sites are $12/night plus a $2 per day per person use (entrance) fee which includes fishing from the bank without a license. Texas residents who were 65 on 9/1/95 get a reduced fee of $1; or if you have a Texas State Parks Pass, all occupants of your vehicle can enter free of charge. The camping fee is not reduced.
If you want to join us at Caddo Lake, don't wait too long to make reservations. The eight sites we had reserved were all sold at the Branson rally to the earliest enrollees and there will be a limited number of remaining sites large enough for your motor home.

Sept. 27 - Oct. 3 -FMCA Six-State Area Rally
"Back to the Rally on the Red"

Hopefully, everyone has already registered for this rally and paid for electric service and the two early days so we can park together. If not, register now online at www.fmca.com or call 800-543-3622 or 513-474-3622. The registration forms are also available in the June issue of Motor Coaching magazine. You can get a refund later if unable to attend. They had a cap of 150 units for entrance on Monday so at least 9 of our members registered early in response to the previous email warning. **Be sure to check your registration packet when you receive it. A couple members that we know of have not received what they signed up for. **
NOTE: If you do not come to the pre-rally at Caddo Lake, you can meet us at the Louisiana Welcome Center on Monday Sept. 27 to caravan with the group. We plan to leave there at 11:00 a.m. There is a dump station at the Welcome Center if anyone needs it.
The following are agendas for the Caddo Lake Rally and the first three days we will be at the Six-State Rally. These could be subject to some changes.
